Axie Infinity is a game universe filled with fascinating creatures, Axies, that players can collect as pets. Players aim to battle, breed, collect, raise, and build kingdoms for their Axies. The universe has a player-owned economy where players can truly own, buy, sell, and trade resources they earn in the game through skilled-gameplay and contributions to the ecosystem.
What’s an Axie?
Axies are fantasy creatures that players can battle, collect, and raise. Each Axie has different traits which determine their role in battle.
Battling
The Axie battle system is turn-based card game where the goal is to eliminate all enemies your team of 3 Axies is facing. Each turn, a player must strategically play cards that maximize their chance of victory.
Land
Lunacia, the Axie homeland, is divided into tokenized plots of land which act as homes and bases of operation for their Axies. Plots can be upgraded over time using a variety of resources and crafting ingredients that can be found when playing the game.
In addition, land-owners might find AXS tokens on their land plots, or use the Axies that occupy the land plot to explore resource nodes on the map. When interacting with resources nodes Axies can find AXS and potentially other resources.

1. Ronin Wallet
Axie Infinity runs on Ronin, an Ethereum side-chain. With the Ronin wallet, you can store and transact digital assets such as Axies, SLP, and ETH.
To start your Ronin Wallet setup, visit https://welcome.skymavis.com/create-wallet/. To run your Ronin wallet, you'll need the browser Google Chrome or Firefox, or download their app on the App Store or Google Play.
2. Get Axies or Apply For Scholarship
Axie Infinity requires every player to own a team of 3 Axies or to enroll in a scholarship to start playing.
How get Axies?
To get Axies, you will need to purchase them from the official marketplace using ETH or from trusted marketplaces like Gameflip using your local currency (e.g. USD, GBP, EUR, etc).

How to apply for Scholarship?
Scholarship is a system that allows you to rent Axies without purchasing them. We recommed visiting the Gameflip Axie School Discord community to apply for scholarship.
